The European Commission has welcomed yesterday's decision of the Ministerial Council of the Energy Community to give Moldova almost four extra years to unbundle its gas pipeline network. A press release said the Council had extended Moldova’s deadline for the implementation of ownership unbundling rules in the gas sector until 1 January 2020.

For the first time the Fair of fresh products will be organized during the exhibition "Made in Moldova - 2013".  Visitors will have the possibility to buy directly from local producers, apples, pears, grapes, pickles and jams, traditional dishes specific to different regions of the country.

Youth exchanges, raising awareness, voluntary activities, trainings and networking will be the focus of a new programme supporting cooperation with the Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries in the field of youth, adopted today by European Commission.  A press release said the programme, with a €29 million budget for 2012-2013, will help mobilize over 1,400 projects involving about 21,000 young people and youth workers.

Germany’s Lufthansa airline is planning to operate a new route to Moldova. The new flight will be introduced in their next summer schedule which starts on March 31, 2013 and operates on the same route as the current Munich-Chisinau-Munich one.
